  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • pieces Skewers (soaked in water if wooden) Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes prior to grilling.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start with 1 pound of shrimp, making sure they are peeled and deveined.
  2. In a bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 tablespoon minced garlic, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, and a good pinch of salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Add the shrimp to the marinade and toss until they are fully coated. Let them marinate for about 15 minutes.
  4. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for about 30 minutes prior to grilling. Then, thread the shrimp onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each.
Grilling
  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Once hot, place the shrimp skewers on the grill, cooking for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn opaque and have lovely grill marks.
  3. Remove from the grill and let cool for a moment. You can sprinkle some fresh herbs on top if desired, then plate and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. To freeze, wrap tightly in plastic wrap and aluminum foil, maintaining quality for about a month. Reheat in the oven at a low temperature to preserve flavor and texture.
