Preparation
- Season your burger patty with salt and pepper on both sides. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the patty for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired doneness. Once cooked, remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium-low. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread. Place one slice butter-side down in the skillet.
- On top of the bread in the skillet, layer one slice of cheese, followed by the cooked burger patty. Top with the second slice of cheese to promote melting.
- Spread butter on the side of the second slice of bread and place it on top of the cheese. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Carefully flip the sandwich and toast the other side for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.
- Once both sides are perfectly toasted, remove from the skillet. Cut the sandwich in half, letting the cheese ooze out, and serve warm.
Notes
Ensure the bread is toasted to prevent sogginess. You can customize your melt with toppings like sautéed onions, fresh herbs, or spices.
