Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces Fresh lemons (juiced) Juice to yield about 1 cup of lemon juice.
  • 1 cup Sugar Adjust based on sweetness preference.
  • 4 cups Water
  • handful Fresh mint leaves For garnish and flavor.
  • Ice cubes Ice cubes For serving.
Optional Flavorings
  • 1 tablespoon Dried lavender For an extra twist.
  • Few tablespoons Berry syrup For an extra twist.

Method

Juicing the Lemons
  1. Begin by rolling the lemons on a hard surface—this helps release their natural juices. Cut the lemons in half and juice them until you have about 1 cup of fresh lemon juice. Strain the juice through a fine-mesh sieve to remove seeds and pulp.
Creating the Base
  1. In a pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice and sugar. Stir well until the sugar has dissolved completely.
Mix It Up
  1. Gradually pour in the water, stirring continuously to ensure it’s well-mixed.
Add Freshness
  1. Toss in your fresh mint leaves. For an extra burst of flavor, lightly muddle the mint leaves to release their oils before adding them.
Chill
  1. Let the pitcher sit in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to mingle beautifully.
Serve
  1. Fill tall glasses with ice, pour the chilled lemonade over, and garnish with additional mint and optional flavorings if desired.

Notes

For a sweeter lemonade, consider using honey or stevia as a sugar substitute. Avoid using bottled lemon juice for the best flavor, and ensure to chill thoroughly for the best taste.
