Ingredients

For the casserole
  • 2 cans refrigerated cinnamon rolls (16.5 ounces each)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk Can use almond milk or other plant-based milk as a substitute.
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
For serving
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup For drizzling on top.
  • optional Powdered sugar For serving.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Open the cans of refrigerated cinnamon rolls and cut each roll into quarters. Place them into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spreading them out evenly.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until fully combined.
  4. Pour the custard mixture over the sliced cinnamon rolls in the baking dish, making sure to cover them evenly.
Baking
  1. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the casserole is golden brown and set in the middle.
  2. Once out of the oven, drizzle maple syrup over the top for added sweetness while it’s still warm.
Serving
  1. If desired, sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving. Enjoy as a warm dish with your favorite breakfast side!

Notes

For perfect results, cut the cinnamon rolls evenly for even baking and don't overbake the casserole to maintain the gooey texture. Consider adding nuts or fresh berries for extra flavor.
