Ingredients
  

For the Oysters
  • 12 pieces fresh oysters, shucked Select fresh, high-quality oysters for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs You can use seasoned or plain breadcrumbs.
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese Freshly grated Parmesan is recommended.
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped Feel free to add other herbs if desired.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Add according to your preference.
  • Lemon wedges for serving Lemon wedges Serve alongside for squeezing over the oysters.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Carefully shuck the oysters, keeping them on their half shells. Place them on a baking sheet.
  3. In a bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, melted butter, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed.
  4. Spoon a generous amount of the breadcrumb mixture onto each oyster.
Baking
  1. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the topping turns a lovely golden brown.
Serving
  1. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. To reheat, use the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes. Do not freeze as it may affect texture.
