Ingredients

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups gluten-free whole grain flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup water or almond milk
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey or sugar (optional) Use honey for added sweetness

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure a crisp exterior on your rolls.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the gluten-free whole grain flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the water or almond milk, olive oil, and honey (if using). Stir until well blended.
  4. Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring with a spoon until a soft dough forms. The dough should be moist but workable.
  5. Lightly flour your hands and scoop out portions of dough to form 8-10 small balls. Space them out on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Place the rolls in the oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes or until they are golden brown on top.
  7. Allow the rolls to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Store any leftover rolls in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze the rolls for up to a month and reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes.
