Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a round cake pan with coconut oil.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix until combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, almond milk, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until well combined. The batter should be thick and fudgy.
- Transfer the batter to your prepared cake pan. Smooth the top as needed.
Baking
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let it cool completely before removing it from the pan.
Serving
- Once cooled, you can top it with additional chocolate mousse or berries, and enjoy!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Freeze individual slices wrapped in plastic wrap for up to a month.
