  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk them together until well blended.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, egg, and melted butter until well combined.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Fold until just combined—don’t overmix! Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
Cooking
  1. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Lightly grease it with oil or butter.
  2. Pour in the pancake batter to form a giant pancake. Let it cook until bubbles begin to form on the surface (3-4 minutes).
  3. Carefully flip the pancake and cook the other side until golden brown.
  4. Continue the process until all the batter is used.
Serving
  1. Top your giant pancakes with fresh strawberries, a hearty drizzle of maple syrup, and enjoy!
