- In a large bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk them together until well blended.
- In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, egg, and melted butter until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Fold until just combined—don’t overmix! Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
Cooking
- Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Lightly grease it with oil or butter.
- Pour in the pancake batter to form a giant pancake. Let it cook until bubbles begin to form on the surface (3-4 minutes).
- Carefully flip the pancake and cook the other side until golden brown.
- Continue the process until all the batter is used.
Serving
- Top your giant pancakes with fresh strawberries, a hearty drizzle of maple syrup, and enjoy!
