Ingredients
  

For the cake
  • 1 box German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
For the topping
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup chocolate syrup For drizzling
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the German chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until well combined, making sure there are no lumps.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Poking and Adding Milk
  1. Once out of the oven, let the cake cool for about 10 minutes.
  2. Using the handle of a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the top of the cake, spaced about 1 inch apart.
  3. Pour the sweetened condensed milk over the top, making sure it seeps into the holes. Then, drizzle the chocolate syrup evenly on top.
Cooling and Decorating
  1. Allow the cake to cool completely.
  2. Frost the cake with whipped topping.
  3. Sprinkle the shredded coconut and chopped pecans generously on top.
