  • - 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • - 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped (optional)

Instructions

  • **Preheat the Oven:** Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • **Mix Dry Ingredients:** In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, salt, and garlic powder.
  • **Cut in the Butter:** Using a pastry cutter or fork, cut the cold butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  • **Add Cheese:** Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until evenly distributed.
  • **Add Buttermilk:** Gradually pour in the buttermilk, stirring gently until the dough just comes together. Be careful not to overmix.
  • **Shape the Biscuits:** Scoop out 2-tablespoon-sized portions of dough and drop them onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • **Bake:** Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown on top.
  • **Make the Garlic Butter Topping:** In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with garlic powder and parsley.
  • **Brush and Serve:** As soon as the biscuits come out of the oven, brush them generously with the garlic butter topping. Serve warm.
