Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 4 fillets tilapia fillets
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter For cooking
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Freshly minced for best flavor
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped For garnish
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice Freshly squeezed for brightness
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Lemon wedges (for serving) For an extra zing

Method

Preparation
  1. Pat the tilapia fillets dry with a paper towel and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Once the butter is melted and bubbling, add in the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, ensuring it doesn’t burn.
Cooking
  1. Place the tilapia fillets in the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  2. Once the tilapia is cooked, drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle the chopped parsley over the top for a fresh finish.
Serving
  1. Remove from heat and serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

Avoid overcooking the fish to prevent rubberiness. Use fresh ingredients for optimal flavor. Consider storing leftovers in an airtight container and reheating slowly to maintain texture.
