Ingredients

For the Steak Bites
  • 1 lb sirloin or filet mignon, cut into bite-sized pieces Choose high-quality cuts for best results.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated Freshly grated melts better.
  • salt, to taste
  • black pepper, to taste
  • chopped parsley, for garnish (optional)

Method

Cooking the Steak
  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat 2 tablespoons of butter and olive oil.
  2. Add the steak bites ensuring they are not overcrowded. Season with salt and pepper and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned.
  3. Remove the steak bites from the skillet and set aside.
Preparing Garlic Butter
  1. In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter.
  2. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant – about 1 minute.
Making the Cream Sauce
  1. Pour in the heavy cream, continuing to stir.
  2. Gradually mix in the Parmesan cheese, allowing it to blend smoothly into the cream.
  3. Continue to cook until slightly thickened for about 3-5 minutes.
Combining and Serving
  1. Reintroduce the steak bites to the skillet and gently mix them into the sauce.
  2. Let the mixture simmer together for a couple of minutes, ensuring every piece is well-coated.
  3. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired, and serve hot.
