Method
Cooking the Steak
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat 2 tablespoons of butter and olive oil.
- Add the steak bites ensuring they are not overcrowded. Season with salt and pepper and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned.
- Remove the steak bites from the skillet and set aside.
Preparing Garlic Butter
- In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter.
- Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant – about 1 minute.
Making the Cream Sauce
- Pour in the heavy cream, continuing to stir.
- Gradually mix in the Parmesan cheese, allowing it to blend smoothly into the cream.
- Continue to cook until slightly thickened for about 3-5 minutes.
Combining and Serving
- Reintroduce the steak bites to the skillet and gently mix them into the sauce.
- Let the mixture simmer together for a couple of minutes, ensuring every piece is well-coated.
- Garnish with chopped parsley if desired, and serve hot.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently with a splash of cream. For long-term storage, freeze in a freezer-safe container for up to 3 months.
