Preparation
- Cut your steak into bite-sized cubes and halve the baby potatoes. Mince the garlic and gather all your ingredients so the cooking process is smooth.
Cooking Potatoes
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Once hot, add the halved baby potatoes, season with salt and pepper, and cook for about 10-12 minutes, or until they are tender and golden brown. Make sure to stir occasionally.
Searing Steak
- While the potatoes are cooking, season the steak pieces with salt and pepper. In a separate pan or after removing the potatoes, add 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the seasoned steak. Sear it for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your preference.
Garlic Butter Finish
- Reduce the heat to low and add the minced garlic to the pan with the steak. Stir for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Then, add the cooked potatoes back into the skillet and drizzle in the remaining butter. Toss everything to combine and let the flavors meld for another minute.
Serving
- Finally, garnish your dish with fresh parsley and serve hot!
Notes
If steak isn't your choice, chicken or lamb can be great substitutes. Make sure to not overcrowd the pan when cooking the potatoes for proper browning. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
