Preparation
- Season the chicken breasts with your favorite halal seasoning. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a little olive oil. Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Once done, remove from heat and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- If using store-bought garlic bread, follow the package instructions to toast it until it’s golden brown and crispy. If making it homemade, mix softened butter, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt, spread it on sliced bread, and toast until golden.
- In a large bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, Caesar dressing, grated Parmesan, and croutons. Toss gently until everything is well coated.
Assembly
- Cut the garlic bread lengthwise and layer it with sliced chicken and the Caesar salad mixture. Add additional Parmesan or diced tomatoes if desired.
Serving
- Close the sub, slice it in half, and serve while it’s still warm!
Notes
For substitutions, grilled halal chicken thighs or tofu can be used. Make sure the garlic bread is warm when serving for optimal crunch.
