- Begin by greasing a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
- In a large saucepan over low heat, melt the butter completely.
- Once the butter is melted, add in the mini marshmallows. Stir continuously until they are fully melted and creamy.
- Remove the pan from heat and fold in the Rice Krispies cereal along with the vanilla extract, stirring until the cereal is evenly coated.
- With greased hands, press the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle colorful toppings on top, pressing lightly to help them stick.
- Allow the mixture to cool for about 30 minutes. Once set, cut into bite-sized squares or use festive cookie cutters to create fun shapes.
