Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted Ensure butter is melted for fudgy texture.
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Mix-ins
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • ½ cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans) Choose your preferred type of nuts.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well until combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, and chopped nuts until evenly distributed in the dough.
  6. Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded scoops of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set (the centers will look slightly soft).
  2. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For perfect cookies, use melted butter and don’t overmix the dough. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
