Ingredients

For the Fruit Salsa
  • 2 cups mixed fruit (such as strawberries, kiwi, mango, and pineapple) Feel free to swap fruits based on what you have at home!
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice For a tangy flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon honey Adjust based on sweetness preference.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh mint (optional) Adds freshness.
For the Cinnamon Sugar Tortilla Chips
  • 4 pieces flour tortillas Use butter or cooking spray for coating.
  • 1/4 cup sugar For sprinkling on tortillas.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon Gives the chips a sweet flavor.
  • to taste as needed Butter or cooking spray For brushing on tortillas.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by washing and chopping your mixed fruits into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the chopped fruit with lime juice, honey, and fresh mint (if using). Stir gently to avoid mushing the fruit.
Prepare the Tortilla Chips
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Lightly coat both sides of each tortilla with butter or cooking spray.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the sugar with cinnamon, then sprinkle this mixture generously over both sides of the tortillas.
  4. Cut each tortilla into wedges and place them on a baking sheet.
  5. Bake for about 8-10 minutes or until they are golden and crispy, flipping halfway through.
Serving
  1. Remove the tortilla chips from the oven, let them cool slightly, and serve alongside your vibrant fruit salsa.

Notes

For maximum freshness, prepare the salsa no more than an hour before serving. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. The tortilla chips are best eaten the same day, but can be stored at room temperature and reheated in a toaster oven for added crispiness.
