Preparation
- Start by brewing 4 cups of your choice of black or green tea. Follow the instructions on the tea package for the best results.
- While the tea is still hot, chop your choice of fresh fruits into bite-sized pieces. Strawberries, oranges, and lemons work beautifully, but feel free to experiment!
- In a large pitcher, combine the brewed tea with the chopped fruits. Stir gently to mix the flavors.
- If you prefer your tea sweet, this is the time to add honey or sugar. Stir until fully dissolved.
- Let the mixture cool at room temperature, then add ice cubes and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Pour into tall glasses, garnish with fresh mint leaves, and enjoy your refreshing Fruit Iced Tea!
Notes
Store any leftovers in a sealed pitcher or jar in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. For freezing, pour the tea into ice cube trays.
