Ingredients

For the Iced Tea
  • 4 cups brewed tea (black or green)
  • 1 cup mixed fresh fruit (such as strawberries, oranges, and lemons) Feel free to experiment with other fruits.
  • 1/4 cup honey or sugar Optional, adjust according to your taste.
  • Ice cubes Use leftover brewed tea to make ice cubes for less dilution.
  • Fresh mint leaves For garnish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by brewing 4 cups of your choice of black or green tea. Follow the instructions on the tea package for the best results.
  2. While the tea is still hot, chop your choice of fresh fruits into bite-sized pieces. Strawberries, oranges, and lemons work beautifully, but feel free to experiment!
  3. In a large pitcher, combine the brewed tea with the chopped fruits. Stir gently to mix the flavors.
  4. If you prefer your tea sweet, this is the time to add honey or sugar. Stir until fully dissolved.
  5. Let the mixture cool at room temperature, then add ice cubes and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  6. Pour into tall glasses, garnish with fresh mint leaves, and enjoy your refreshing Fruit Iced Tea!

Notes

Store any leftovers in a sealed pitcher or jar in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. For freezing, pour the tea into ice cube trays.
