Preparation
- Wash the fresh peaches thoroughly, cut them in half, remove the pits, and chop them into little cubes.
- In a saucepan, bring the 4 cups of water to a boil over medium heat.
- Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and drop in the tea bags. Let them steep for about 5 minutes. If you prefer a stronger flavor, steep for an additional minute.
- After removing the tea bags, stir in your desired amount of sugar while the tea is still warm to help dissolve the sugar better. Add in the chopped peaches and let it cool to room temperature.
- Transfer the mixture into a pitcher and place it in the fridge for at least one hour to allow the flavors to meld.
- Pour the chilled tea over ice, garnish with fresh mint leaves, and enjoy.
Notes
If fresh peaches are out of season, you can use canned or frozen peaches (ensure they're not packed in syrup). Store leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container for 3-5 days, preferably consumed within two days.
