Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Remove from heat and let it slightly cool.
- Whisk in sugar until well combined, then add egg and vanilla extract, stirring until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, mix cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Gently fold in the fresh blueberries to the brownie batter.
- Grease an 8x8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Cut into squares and enjoy.
Notes
For best results, check brownies at the 20-minute mark to avoid overbaking. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 4-5 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
