Base Ingredients
  • 1 cup flour All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened Ensure the butter is soft for easy mixing.
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
Filling
  • 1 cup raspberry jam Halal-compliant jam

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and softened butter. Mix until the texture becomes crumbly.
  3. Gently fold in rolled oats.
  4. Grease an 8x8 inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  5. Press about two-thirds of the mixture into the bottom of the baking dish.
  6. Spread the raspberry jam evenly over the oat crust.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining oat mixture over the raspberry jam.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  9. Let cool completely before cutting into bars.

Notes

These bars can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Thaw at room temperature or warm in the oven before serving.
