Ingredients

  • 1 18.25 ounce package of white cake mix
  • 2 cups of white sugar
  • 1 8-ounce package of cream cheese
  • 1 cup of crushed pineapple with juice
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 1 cup of coconut flakes
  • 1 16-ounce package of powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup of butter

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan to make sure the cake doesn’t stick!
  • Mix the Batter: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, white sugar, crushed pineapple (with its juice), and eggs. Stir them together until fully blended.
  • Add Nuts and Coconut: Gently fold in the chopped walnuts or pecans and coconut flakes into the batter to add texture and flavor.
  • Bake the Cake: Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan. Smooth the top with a spatula and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Prepare the Frosting: While the cake is baking, beat together the cream cheese and butter in a separate bowl until smooth. Gradually add in the powdered sugar, mixing until creamy.
  • Frost the Cake: Once the cake has cooled completely, spread the cream cheese frosting evenly over the top.
  • Serve and Enjoy: Slice the cake into pieces and enjoy your yummy creation!
