Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking pan by greasing or lining it with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda.
- In another bowl, combine the wet ingredients: vegetable oil, milk (or non-dairy alternative), and vanilla extract, stirring until well combined.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips if desired.
Baking
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Cooling
- Let the brownies cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then lift them out to cool completely on a wire rack.
- Cut them into squares and enjoy!
Notes
For dairy-free options, substitute milk with almond, soy, or oat milk. Keep an eye on baking time to avoid a dry texture. Allow cooling before slicing for the best chewy texture.
