  • 1/4 cup milk

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and baking soda. Gently whisk together to ensure even distribution.
  2. In another large bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth, about 2-3 minutes with a hand mixer on medium speed.
  3. Mix in the vanilla extract and milk until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter and sugar mix, stirring until just combined. Avoid overmixing!
  5. If desired, fold in chocolate chips or colorful sprinkles gently into the dough.
  6. For an even thicker dough, chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes (optional).
  7. Scoop out the dough with a spoon and enjoy straight from the bowl!

Notes

For a Halal-friendly version, substitute plant-based butter for unsalted butter. Properly softened butter is key for the best texture. Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week in the refrigerator or freeze for up to 3 months.
