Ingredients

For the crust
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
For the filling
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure even baking.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Mix until combined, then press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a greased 9×9-inch baking dish.
  3. Evenly sprinkle the chopped pecans over the crust.
  4. Sprinkle the chocolate chips generously on top of the pecans.
  5. Pour the caramel sauce over the chocolate chips, followed by a drizzle of sweetened condensed milk.
  6. Place the dish in the preheated oven for approximately 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is bubbling.
  7. Once baked, allow the bars to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before cutting them into squares.
  8. Enjoy your Easy Turtle Bars warm or at room temperature.

Notes

For variations, consider swapping pecans for walnuts or almonds. Allow these bars to cool before cutting to maintain their structure. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to five days or refrigerate for a week. Reheat in the microwave for a few seconds before serving.
