  • 1 head head of cabbage Fresh cabbage for best taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Can substitute with avocado oil
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Remove any outer leaves from the cabbage and cut it into thick slices, about 1 inch wide.
  3. Place the cabbage steaks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle olive oil over them and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add garlic powder or paprika if desired.
Roasting
  1. Roast the cabbage steaks in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden-brown.
  2. Remove from oven and serve immediately. Optionally garnish with fresh herbs or a squeeze of lemon.

Notes

For best results, do not overcrowd the baking sheet to ensure crispiness. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
