Ingredients
  

For the cupcakes
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix Plus ingredients as per package instructions
For the frosting
  • 1 jar chocolate frosting
For decorating
  • As needed mini pretzels For antlers
  • As needed red candies Like M&M's or red jellybeans for noses
  • As needed chocolate chips For eyes
  • Optional edible glitter or sprinkles For additional sparkle

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to the package instructions.
  2. Line your muffin tin with cupcake liners. Pour the cake batter evenly into the liners, filling them about two-thirds full.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for about 18-22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  4. Allow the cupcakes to cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Decoration
  1. Once cooled, generously frost each cupcake with chocolate frosting to resemble the reindeer’s face.
  2. For each cupcake, place two pretzel pieces on top for antlers, use chocolate chips for the eyes, and stick the red candy in the center for the nose.

Notes

Leftover cupcakes can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerated for a week. They can also be frozen for up to 3 months. Try using different cake mixes for fun variations or pipe the frosting for a decorative touch.
