Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease an 8-inch square baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, salt, and baking powder. Mix well.
- Add the softened butter to the mixture and mix until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Press half of the crumble mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Spread the diced plums evenly over the pressed crumble.
- Top with the remaining crumble mixture, ensuring even coverage.
Baking
- Place the dish in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool in the pan before cutting into squares.
Notes
These bars are best served warm but can also be enjoyed at room temperature. For storage, keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. They can be frozen for up to three months.
