  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs Room temperature eggs work best.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For added sweetness and flavor.
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Consider using gluten-free flour if needed.
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda For leavening.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt Enhances flavor.

  • as needed Pretzel sticks (for spider legs)

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, until the mixture is smooth and well-blended.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  4. Use a tablespoon to scoop dough and roll it into balls. Place them on a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  2. Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
Decoration
  1. Once the cookies are cool, use the chocolate candies for the spider's body and break pretzel sticks into legs. Use your creativity to design this spooky treat!
