Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice and peel your fresh peaches, or drain the canned ones. If using fresh, sprinkle a bit of sugar on them and let them sit for about 10 minutes to draw out natural juices.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Whisk them together for an even mix.
Mixing Ingredients
- Gradually add milk and melted butter to the dry mixture, stirring until smooth.
- Gently fold in the prepared peaches. If you’re feeling adventurous, add a sprinkle of cinnamon at this point!
Baking
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the peaches are bubbling.
- Let cool for a few minutes, then serve warm. Enjoy it as is or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
Notes
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes before serving.
