Preparation
- In a large pot, pour in your vegetable broth. Set it over medium heat and bring it to a gentle boil.
- Once the broth is bubbling, add the miso paste and stir until it dissolves, creating a lovely, rich base.
- Toss in the instant ramen noodles, giving them a gentle stir so they don't stick together.
- Pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil. If you love heat, this is the right moment to add chili paste! Stir gently to combine.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and chopped bok choy. Cook for about 3-5 minutes, until the bok choy is tender and the mushrooms have softened nicely.
- If you’ve chosen tofu or chicken, add it now and let it simmer for another 3-5 minutes to heat through.
- Once everything is cooked and heated through, ladle the ramen into bowls and top with chopped green onions.
- Enjoy your hot bowl of Easy One-Pot Spicy Miso Ramen with chopsticks or a fork, and don’t forget to savor every moment!
Notes
Top Tips: Experiment with different types of miso for varied flavors. You can use any seasonal vegetables you have on hand. Keep an eye on the noodles; overcooking can make them mushy. Add a soft-boiled egg, fresh herbs, or seaweed to elevate the dish.
