Dough Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Make sure to measure accurately.
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
Filling Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the milk with melted butter.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture. Mix until just combined without overworking the dough.
  5. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough into a rectangle about ¾ inch thick.
  6. In a small bowl, combine the ground cinnamon and brown sugar, then spread this mixture evenly over the dough.
  7. Starting from the longer side, slowly roll up the dough, sealing the seam by pinching.
  8. Slice the rolled dough into 1-inch thick pieces and place them in a greased baking dish.
Baking
  1. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. The edges should be crispy, and the center should remain soft.
  2. Allow the rolls to cool slightly before drizzling with icing or glaze, if desired.

Notes

Experiment with fillings like nuts or dried fruit for added flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days in the fridge or freeze for a month.
