Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together until evenly mixed.
- Add in the milk and melted butter, stirring until just combined into a dough.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead it a couple of times until it's smooth. Roll it out into a rectangle about 1/4-inch thick.
- Mix the brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Spread the mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough.
- Roll it up tightly from the long side into a log.
- Slice the rolled dough into 1-inch thick pieces. Place them in a greased baking dish.
Baking
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the rolls are lightly golden and cooked through.
Glazing
- While the cinnamon rolls are baking, mix the powdered sugar and milk until smooth. Adjust the consistency based on your preference.
- Once the rolls have cooled slightly, drizzle the glaze over the top.
Notes
For best results, don't overwork the dough and use room temperature ingredients. Customize the filling by adding nuts, raisins, or chocolate chips. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or freeze for up to 1 month.
