  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda dissolved in hot water
  • 2 teaspoons hot water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract until evenly combined.
  4. Dissolve the baking soda in hot water, then add it to your mixture.
  5. Gradually mix in the flour and salt until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the M&Ms until evenly distributed.
  7. Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to drop rounded balls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Baking and Cooling
  1. Bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  2. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
