Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 rolls ciabatta or focaccia
  • 4 slices mozzarella or cheddar cheese or a mix if you're feeling adventurous
  • 4 slices turkey or halal salami
  • 1 handful fresh spinach can substitute with sliced tomatoes or roasted bell peppers
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter for grilling
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

Preparation
  1. Slice the ciabatta or focaccia rolls in half.
  2. Layer one half with your choice of cheese, followed by the deli meat and selected veggies.
  3. Sprinkle a pinch of salt and pepper over the layers to enhance the flavors.
  4. Place the other half of the bread on top to create a sandwich.
  5. Brush the outside of the sandwich with olive oil or butter.
Grilling
  1. Preheat a panini press or skillet over medium heat.
  2. If using a skillet, place a heavy object on top of the sandwich for even grilling.
  3. Grill each side for about 4-5 minutes, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Serving
  1. Slice the panini in half and serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce, salad, or soup.

Notes

For best results, keep an eye on the panini while grilling to avoid burning. Wrap leftovers tightly in foil or plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 3 days. Reheat in a toaster oven or skillet to maintain crispiness.
