Easy Hamburger Rice Casserole

#### For the Casserole
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup uncooked long-grain rice
2 cups beef broth
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
#### For the Topping
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
- **Preheat the Oven:**
- Preheat your oven to 375°F 190°C.
- **Cook the Beef:**
- In a large skillet cook the ground beef and diced onion over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is softened. Drain any excess grease.
- **Add Garlic and Seasoning:**
- Stir in the minced garlic paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- **Combine Ingredients:**
- In a mixing bowl combine the uncooked rice, beef broth, cream of mushroom soup, and sour cream. Mix well.
- **Assemble the Casserole:**
- Spread the cooked beef mixture evenly in the bottom of a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Pour the rice mixture over the beef and stir gently to combine.

- Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 40-45 minutes or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
