Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes with an electric mixer).
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
- Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, take a portion of the dough, flatten it in your hand, and place an Oreo in the center. Wrap the dough around the Oreo completely.
- Place the stuffed cookies on the prepared baking sheet with enough space in between.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. The centers may look slightly underbaked.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for 2-3 months. Reheat in the microwave before serving.
