  • 1 lb ground beef You can substitute with ground turkey or chicken.
  • 4 cups broccoli florets Fresh or frozen can be used.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce Use tamari for a gluten-free option.
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce Optional ingredient for added flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • to taste salt and pepper Adjust according to preference.
  • Cooked rice for serving Fluffy white or jasmine rice recommended.

Preparation
  1. In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the ground beef to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula (about 5 minutes).
  3. Once the beef is browned, stir in the minced garlic and ginger. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Toss in the broccoli florets and stir-fry with the beef for another 3-4 minutes, or until bright green and tender-crisp.
  5. In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), and sesame oil. Pour this mixture over the beef and broccoli, mixing well to coat.
  6. Stir further for another 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through and well combined.
  7. Serve immediately over cooked rice and enjoy!

Notes

For added variety, include quick-cooking vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days or frozen for about a month.
