Preparation
- Cut the Halal beef stew meat into bite-sized pieces and pat them dry with a paper towel.
- In a skillet, melt a tablespoon of butter over medium heat, add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and cook until translucent and fragrant, about 3-5 minutes.
Cooking
- Layer the beef, sautéed onions, garlic, beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper in your crockpot. Stir to combine.
- Close the lid and set your crockpot to low. Cook for 6-8 hours, or until the beef is tender and falls apart easily.
- About 30 minutes before serving, add the egg noodles directly to the crockpot, pushing them into the sauce. If needed, add a bit more broth to ensure they are covered.
- Once the noodles are cooked, stir in the remaining tablespoon of butter for added richness. Give everything a gentle mix and taste for seasoning before serving.
Serving
- Ladle the beef and noodles into bowls, garnishing as desired. Enjoy with your loved ones!
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat gently with a splash of beef broth.
