Preparation
- Start by gathering your chicken and ingredients. Mince the garlic and have everything ready for quick assembly.
Cooking
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Once the oil is hot, add the chicken breasts and sear them for about 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the chicken broth, scraping any bits stuck to the pan, and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream and Italian seasoning. Allow this to simmer for another 5 minutes until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, coating each piece in the creamy sauce. Let it simmer together for an additional minute or two.
Serving
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley to brighten up the dish!
Notes
To store, place in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Can freeze for up to 2 months; reheat gently on the stove with a splash of chicken broth.
