Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded cheddar cheese and ranch dressing mix. Mix until well blended.
  3. In a separate bowl, pour the vegetable oil or cooking spray over the saltine crackers, tossing gently until coated.
  4. Sprinkle the cheese and ranch mixture over the crackers. Toss gently until all the crackers are well coated.
  5. Place the coated crackers on a lined baking sheet in a single layer, ensuring they are evenly spread out.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the crackers are golden brown.
