#### **Step 1: Prepare the Filling**
Preheat oven to **375°F (190°C)** and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, egg yolk, lemon juice, and salt until smooth.
#### **Step 2: Cut & Shape the Pastry**
Roll out puff pastry and cut each sheet into **4 squares** (for a total of 8 pieces).
Lightly score a smaller square inside each piece, leaving a **1/2-inch border** (do not cut all the way through).
Poke the center area with a fork to prevent excessive puffing.
#### **Step 3: Assemble the Danish**
Place 1-2 tablespoons of cream cheese filling in the center of each pastry.
Beat egg and milk together, then brush the edges of the pastry with egg wash.
Arrange pastries on the lined baking sheet, leaving space between them.
#### **Step 4: Bake & Cool**
Bake for **15-18 minutes**, or until golden brown and puffed.
Let cool slightly before adding glaze.
#### **Step 5: Make the Glaze & Serve**
Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Drizzle over warm danishes and enjoy!
