- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips, peanut butter, and unsalted butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each, until everything is melted and smooth.
- Pour the melted mixture over the Chex cereal in a large bowl. Gently stir to coat each piece evenly, making sure not to crush the cereal.
- Place the cereal mixture into a large zip-top bag. Add powdered sugar, seal the bag, and shake gently until all the pieces are coated.
- Once your mix is fully coated, add the crushed Butterfinger bits to the bag. Shake again to evenly distribute.
- Pour the mixture out onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let it cool. Serve immediately or store for later.
Notes
To keep your Easy Butterfinger Puppy Chow fresh, store it in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week. Refrigerate for longer storage, but it may lose some crunch. Warm it slightly in the microwave if desired.
