  • 3 pieces ripe bananas, sliced Choose bananas with a few brown spots for the best flavor.
  • 1 box vanilla instant pudding mix (5.1 oz)
  • 2 cups milk Adjust quantity for desired pudding thickness.
  • 1 box vanilla wafers (11 oz) Can be substituted with graham crackers.
  • 1 cup whipped cream or Cool Whip Optional for topping.

Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and milk until smooth. Allow it to set for about 5 minutes.
Layering
  1. In a 9x9-inch dish, create a layer with the vanilla wafers.
  2. Add a layer of sliced bananas on top of the wafers.
  3. Pour half of the prepared pudding over the bananas, covering them evenly.
  4. Add another layer of vanilla wafers followed by more banana slices.
  5. Finish with the remaining pudding, smoothing it out nicely on top.
Chilling
  1. If desired, top with whipped cream for extra creaminess.
  2. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to let the flavors meld together.

Notes

Store leftovers tightly covered in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. For optimal freshness, add bananas just before serving to prevent browning.
