Preparation
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and milk until smooth. Allow it to set for about 5 minutes.
Layering
- In a 9x9-inch dish, create a layer with the vanilla wafers.
- Add a layer of sliced bananas on top of the wafers.
- Pour half of the prepared pudding over the bananas, covering them evenly.
- Add another layer of vanilla wafers followed by more banana slices.
- Finish with the remaining pudding, smoothing it out nicely on top.
Chilling
- If desired, top with whipped cream for extra creaminess.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to let the flavors meld together.
Notes
Store leftovers tightly covered in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. For optimal freshness, add bananas just before serving to prevent browning.
