Preparation
- Clear your kitchen counter and gather all your ingredients and tools.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sweetened shredded coconut, condensed milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir everything together until well incorporated.
- Use your hands to roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Refrigerate the tray for about 10-15 minutes to firm up the balls.
Coating
- While the coconut balls chill, melt the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water or in the microwave in short 20-second bursts, stirring until smooth.
- Once chilled, dip each coconut ball into the molten chocolate, ensuring it's fully coated. Use a fork to lift it out, allowing excess chocolate to drip off.
- Place the chocolate-covered bonbons back on the parchment-lined tray. Optionally, sprinkle a little more shredded coconut on top for garnish while the chocolate is still wet.
- Return the tray to the refrigerator until the chocolate is completely set, which will take about 30 minutes.
Serving
- Once set, your Easy Bounty Bonbons are ready to be enjoyed! Share them with family or store them for a sweet treat later.
