  • 100 g condensed milk Use to bind the coconut mixture.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract Enhances flavor.
  • 1 pinch salt Balances sweetness.
For coating
  • 200 g dark chocolate Melted for coating the bonbons.

Method

Preparation
  1. Clear your kitchen counter and gather all your ingredients and tools.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the sweetened shredded coconut, condensed milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir everything together until well incorporated.
  3. Use your hands to roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  4. Refrigerate the tray for about 10-15 minutes to firm up the balls.
Coating
  1. While the coconut balls chill, melt the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water or in the microwave in short 20-second bursts, stirring until smooth.
  2. Once chilled, dip each coconut ball into the molten chocolate, ensuring it's fully coated. Use a fork to lift it out, allowing excess chocolate to drip off.
  3. Place the chocolate-covered bonbons back on the parchment-lined tray. Optionally, sprinkle a little more shredded coconut on top for garnish while the chocolate is still wet.
  4. Return the tray to the refrigerator until the chocolate is completely set, which will take about 30 minutes.
Serving
  1. Once set, your Easy Bounty Bonbons are ready to be enjoyed! Share them with family or store them for a sweet treat later.
