Preparation
- Slice the flank steak into thin strips and marinate it in a mixture of 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch for about 15 minutes.
Cooking the Beef
- In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Once hot, add the marinated beef in a single layer and season it with salt and pepper.
- Sear until browned, about 2-3 minutes, then remove from pan and set aside.
Cooking the Broccoli
- In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil.
- Toss in the minced garlic and ginger, and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for about 2 minutes until they turn bright green but remain crisp.
Combine Ingredients
- Return the beef to the skillet and pour in the beef broth, oyster sauce, and remaining soy sauce.
- Stir everything together and allow the sauce to simmer for another 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
Serving
- Serve your Easy Beef & Broccoli over cooked rice.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet to preserve flavors or in the microwave for a quick fix. Can be frozen for up to a month.
