  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for frying
  • For the Pasta
  • 12 oz linguine or spaghetti
  • Salt for boiling water
  • For the Bang Bang Sauce
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • For Garnish
  • Fresh parsley chopped
  • Lemon wedges

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Cook the Pasta
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine or spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Step 2: Prepare the Shrimp
  4. In a mixing bowl, toss the shrimp with cornstarch, salt, and pepper until evenly coated. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden and crispy. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  5. Step 3: Make the Bang Bang Sauce
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, honey, garlic powder, and lime juice until smooth. Taste and adjust the spice level by adding more Sriracha if desired.
  7. Step 4: Combine Pasta, Shrimp, and Sauce
  8. In the same skillet (or a large mixing bowl), toss the cooked pasta with the Bang Bang sauce until evenly coated. Add the crispy shrimp and gently toss to combine.
