Method
 

Preparation
  1. Gather all your ingredients to make the process smoother. Mince the garlic and chop the green onions if using.
  2. In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Stir well to mingle the flavors.
  3. Slowly add the sugar and chili flakes to the mix. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Adjust according to your preference.
  4. If using, add the minced garlic to the sauce and mix well.
  5. Pour the sauce into an attractive serving bowl. Top it off with chopped green onions for a pop of color and flavor.

Notes

This sauce keeps well in the fridge for up to a week, and can be frozen in ice cube trays for longer storage.
