  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 1 lb Italian sausage Remove from casings
  • 10.5 oz can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (like mozzarella or cheddar)
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the uncooked egg noodles, Italian sausage (removed from casings), cream of mushroom soup, milk, frozen mixed vegetables, salt, and pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly coated.
  3. Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly across the bottom.
Baking
  1. Cover the dish with foil and place it in the preheated oven. Bake for 30 minutes.
  2. After 30 minutes, remove the foil, stir the casserole, and sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
  3. Return the dish to the oven, uncovered, and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the noodles are tender and the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

For a firmer texture, you can cook the noodles according to package instructions before incorporating them into the casserole. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the refrigerator, or freeze for up to three months.
