Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 piece ripe dragonfruit, peeled and chopped Ensure it's ripe for optimal flavor.
  • 2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 6-8 lemons) Freshly squeezed is recommended for the best flavor.
  • 4 cups cold water
  • ½ to 1 cup sugar or honey (to taste) Adjust according to sweetness preference.
  • to taste Fresh mint for garnish
  • as needed Ice cubes For serving.

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by peeling the dragonfruit and chopping it into small pieces. Place the pieces into a blender.
  2. Add the cold water to the blender with the dragonfruit and blend until you get a smooth mixture.
  3. If you prefer a smoother drink, strain the blended mixture using a fine mesh sieve to remove any pulp. This step is optional.
  4. In a large pitcher, combine the freshly-squeezed lemon juice and sugar (or honey). Stir until the sugar dissolves completely.
  5. Slowly pour the dragonfruit blend into the pitcher with the lemonade mix. Stir well to combine all the flavors.
  6. Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness as needed. If it’s too tart, add more sugar or honey.
  7. Pour the Dragonfruit Lemonade over ice, garnish with fresh mint, and enjoy.
